Sacks
Last night I saw Oliver Sacks speak at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. This was part of the City Art and Lectures lecture series. It was focused on his new book, which is about the neurology of music. It was quite interesting.
Before I went there I had dinner a a restaurant named after IBM’s unix – Bistro Aix. It was very good, and the Prix Fixe menu on weeknights is a great deal.
EDIT:
I forgot to tell the best bit. Dr. Sacks told how when he was 4, he told someone his favorite things were Bach and Smoke Salmon. And then he said that they pretty much still are.
