Wow, this is just so dumb:
Our hearts may have been left in San Francisco, but more of our homes are in San Jose.
And that’s got the attention of the U.S. Census
Bureau (news – web sites), which now officially calls our region the San Jose Metro Area. That’s right — in the eyes of the government, San Francisco and Oakland now take a back seat to the city once known as the prune capitol of the world.
San Jose is about as metro as Niles, IL. It is the world’s largest suburb. Anyway, the area was named the San Francisco Bay Area for the bay that it surrounds, not for the city itself, right?
