Starry Wisdom

So far the nose is being pretty good. It definitely works a lot better than before. I also believe I am sleeping better than before I had the procedure done. I am reserving final judgement, but so far, so good.

Sleep was quite wonderful last night. I woke up with my mouth shut SOLIDLY SHUT, and a tongue not made out of cowhide. The only bad part of the night is that I kind of threw my arm into my face at one point and woke up saying “OW!”. I am 100% sure my nose is better now than it was before I had the surgery… and it still has a lot of healing to do!

You know that scene in Total Recall where Arnold pulls the big capsule out his nose? I know what that feels like now!

Honestly, even though my nose is swollen and a bit extra drippy, it is working better now than right before i went in to surgery.

Surgery went very well, according to the doctor. I’m feeling *ok* now, although I am not the most comfortable knife in the drawer. Here’s a lovely picture of me from yesterday afternoon, I look pretty zonky in it:

Tomorrow I am getting my septum undeviated. That is all.
